Study buddies!

Dusty here . . . I remember back in the 20th century when I was learning the tarot from books and the occasional teacher (both of various quality — and it seemed that no two books or teachers agreed on the finer points of tarot) thinking to myself

So when I finally wrote a textbook on the tarot (way back in 2009) I decided that I would open up a set of forums (@ advancedtarotsecrets.com) and get anyone who read my book a “study buddy.” No one did this — at least not that I was aware of. Sure, authors sold books, and there are book clubs, and book reading groups, and there is no shortage of people charging you insane amounts of money to hang out with the expert. But no one was making it easy for you to buy their book and get in a group of friendly, well-trained, serious tarot students, where you could practice together.

And there certainly weren’t tarot hames and exercises! “Back in my day sonny! . . .” we had to MEMORIZE kabbalistic formulas, numerological card meanings, and key words. We had to read like cheap tarot apps that can tell you what a card means (like a parrot who has memorized human sounds), but we didn’t get to explore ideas, to try brainstorming, problem-solving, tell stories, and play fun games.

“I wish I had someone to practice all of this with!”

Wow, tarot education in the 1900’s really sucked now that I think of it. 😾

So here we are in present day. We have had study buddies, practice groups, and personalized help directly from me (every week) for over a decade now. If you need a friend, or you need “more friends” to practice with (or on), try any of the ideas or links below and let’s get you connected!
